Politics and International Relations
The program teaches students how to master a whole set of disciplines that allow for a comprehensive analysis of the main modern international relations, world politics and diplomacy trends.
The program is designed for Russian Uniform State Examination (USE) applicants and foreigners with completed national secondary education diplomas.
Admission process:
- Admission is scheduled for the period from June 20 to July 21, 2026 (until July 12 – for those eligible for traditional admission, not based on the results of the USE)
- Admission to this program for Russian citizens is based on Uniform State Examination (USE) scores in English, History and Russian.
- Foreign citizens are admitted on the basis of their national education certificates.
- Applicants apply for admission electronically via MGIMO's electronic information system "Abiturient-Online" (bac.mgimo.ru)
- If there are no questions on the requête, the applicant will be admitted to the entrance examinations.
- For Russian citizens there are no additional entrance examinations.

Government, International Politics and Law
The program is a unique fusion of disciplines with diplomatic, legal, economic, international and language courses.
The program is designed for Russian and international applicants who hold an international secondary education certificate (A-Level, SAT, national secondary education diplomas).
Admission process:
- Admission process is scheduled for the period from April 1 to August 25
- Applicants apply for admission electronically via MGIMO's electronic information system "Abiturient-Online" (bac.mgimo.ru)
- If there are no questions on your query, you will be admitted to the entrance examinations.
- Entrance exams are held online and consist of a test in English and an essay on world history.

International and Comparative Law
Joint program of the MGIMO School of International Law and Swiss School for International Relations (MGIMO-Geneva)
The program provides students with expertise in international law field, immerses them in an international environment and multicultural communication.
Upon successful completion of the Program and the curriculum, graduates receive two diplomas: Russian Diploma – from MGIMO University – and Swiss Diploma – from Swiss School for International Relations
Admission process:
- The education process is carried out on a contractual (paid) basis.
- The enrollment to the program is decided, as a separate selective process, on the basis of the results of the Unified State Examination (USE): English (60 points), Social Sciences (60 points), Russian (60 points).
- No additional entrance examinations are required for those with the USE results.
- In the absence of the USE, the MGIMO entrance exams in English, Social Studies and Russian are held.

Multilateral Diplomacy
Joint program of the MGIMO School of Governance and Politics and Swiss School for International Relations (MGIMO-Geneva)
The program is designed to train international civil servants, diplomats, and functionaries of international organizations and diplomatic missions.
A successful graduate is awarded two Bachelor’s degrees: Russian Diploma – from MGIMO University – and Swiss Diploma – from Swiss School for International Relations
Admission process:
- The education process is carried out on a contractual (paid) basis.
- The enrollment is decided, as a separate selective process, on the basis of the results of the Unified State Examination (USE): English (80 points), History (60 points), Russian (70 points).
- No additional entrance examinations are required for those having the USE results.
- In the absence of the USE, the MGIMO entrance exams in English, History and Russian are held.

Joint program of the MGIMO School of International Economic Relations and Swiss School for International Relations (MGIMO-Geneva)
The program provides fundamental economic education, combined with practical skills in international economics and finance, with special attention paid to the activities of international economic organizations and transnational businesses.
Upon successful completion of the program, graduates receive two diplomas: Russian Diploma – from MGIMO University – and Swiss Diploma – from Swiss School for International Relations.

- No additional entrance examinations are required for those having the USE results.
