MGIMO Team in Kazakhstan

From November 21 to 27, a delegation from MGIMO University visited the Republic of Kazakhstan. The delegation included E.A. Rudenko, Assistant to the Vice-Rector for International Ties, Youth and Social Policy; K.A. Chentsova, Deputy Head of the Information and Advertising Department; and N.E. Tonkoshkurova, Tutor of the International Student Office. The University team participated in the «Study in Russia» exhibition at the Russian House in Astana and held career orientation meetings at four schools in Astana and Almaty (Miras International School, Magzhan Zhumabayev International Higher College, Almaty International School, and Almaty Lyceum No. 134).

MGIMO representatives informed Kazakhstani prospective students about the University, answered all their questions, held a «Future Leaders Quiz,» and presented memorable gifts from the new «MGIMO  International» branded merchandise line to the most active participants of the career guidance meetings. High school students from Astana and Almaty showed genuine interest in applying to MGIMO.

During the visit to Kazakhstan, MGIMO representatives also met with members of the International Applicants Club from Astana and Almaty, presenting them with commemorative gifts for their active participation in the Club’s activities.

Working meetings were held with the leadership of the Astana Diplomatic Club, the Sputnik Kazakhstan news agency, and the Kazan Education center in Almaty. The meetings resulted in agreements to pursue joint collaboration.

We extend our gratitude to the leadership of the Rossotrudnichestvo Office in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Almaty for their assistance in organizing the visit.
